Over the past few years, the St. Marks basketball team has emerged as one of the premier programs in the southwestern United States and has established a tradition that has become synonymous with excellence.
The Lions Head Varsity Coach, Greg Guiler, began his career as a skills instructor and is committed to teaching the fundamentals of the game. A point guard stand-out in high school (where he was the schools second all-time leading scorer) and in college (where he scored over 1,000 points and became Cedarville University's career assists leader), Coach Guiler has learned that quality training can enable players to successfully compete against opponents of even the highest caliber.
An understanding of basketball basics has given Coach Guiler the opportunity to play against NBA superstars like Michael Redd, Zach Randolph, and LeBron James. These opportunities have led Coach Guiler to recognize how much fun the game can be, and he is dedicated to providing the most enjoyable experience of hoops possible.
